A good book if you heard anyone around you in your company, say “I spend my whole day in meetings, I can’t get anything done !”.
We read it in our Leadership Exploration Committee at Rhythm&Hues and it made us all smile. The book fable the author uses happen in a small shop creating video games in the SF bay area. It was surprisingly the microcosm version of what we felt was happening at R&H at the time.
It’s a quick read and gives a simple yet efficient recipe to turn things around about meetings through a little storyline that anchors the principles in our memories, hopefully for good.
The analogy with our tv habits works rather well for me to show how each format has its place but for different type of stories: 6mins Daily News or 45mins Sitcoms or a 1h30 Movie and finally a 6hrs TV Mini-Series.
I feel this small book could make a difference in a lot of company environments and maybe help some group leads to re-format their meetings a bit with an easy method and structure.

The ‘universality’ of this speech by the now late Steve Jobs of Apple, Pixar and Next titled adequately ‘How to live before you die’ will get your CHI to accumulate in your core and will get you to stand up immediately and go DO the things you promised yourself you would do …awhile ago.

Sequence Supervisor on major Hollywood movies for over 13 years, overlooking artists in Lighting(3D) and Compositing(2D) for final shots integration.
Has spent one full year in Mumbai/India as a Supervisor for Rhythm&Hues India. A fabulous life experience both professionally and on a personal level.
Cinematographer and Associate Producer on own Independent feature film - Interstate - . From script to finish, only 2 of us at the helm. 16 days of shooting, 1 year pre-prod, 1 year post-prod. Just sold it to Vanguard/Universal, (release date - May 2008). Two 'Film Schools' worthy! Check it out on NetFlix Play.
World traveler and photographer as a hobby.
Hybrid background in both Computer Science and Art Studies in Switzerland. Strange mix but really useful in Computer Graphics or Filmmaking!
Always interested in broadening the message of developing a more sustainable world and ecologically driven economy and always passionate about engaged cinema through documentary filmmaking, (The 11th hour, An inconvenient truth) or excellent narrative scripts (Children of men, The Constant Gardener, Michael Clayton...).
Interested in Rudolph Steiner philosophies and education principles (anthroposophical med, biodynamic farming, waldorf education, three-folding social organization..).
Passionate about water preservation and broadening the message about the urgency through filmmaking.
Currently back in Switzerland closer to the family clan for awhile.
Worked in a small structure doing the jack of all trade for some architectural visualization projects. It was good to step out from proprietary tools and reapply the knowledge on small boutique issues and more off-the-shelves packages.While I'm waiting for my next challenge career wise I'm not wasting my time and so I'm working on setting up a data-viz non-profit structure. A personal undertaking dear to my heart since 2008.
